Siri AI’s New Languages Do Not Remove Its iPhone Region and Device Limits
Turkish is on Siri AI’s roadmap for the end of the year, but it is still absent from the assistant’s current language list. Apple’s October 26 expansion added French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish to English. For an iPhone owner waiting for Turkish, the announcement leaves some waiting to do.

Start with the assistant’s own list
The confusion comes from two footnotes in Apple’s update. The first lists languages supported across Apple Intelligence, including Turkish and Norwegian. The next describes Siri AI specifically and names only English plus the five newly added languages.
Chinese (traditional), Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese are due to join Siri AI by year-end, according to Apple. That is the company’s stated timetable as of October 26; the release supplies no individual launch day for any of them.
This distinction matters when deciding whether to change a phone’s language or install an update. A general Apple Intelligence language entry is insufficient evidence that the conversational assistant now works in that language. Read the list attached to Siri AI itself.
Check where the iPhone is covered
There is another limit for EU users. Apple says Siri AI is currently unavailable there on iOS, iPadOS and watchOS. The statement names those platforms, so it should be read at that scope rather than turned into a rule about every Apple device.
The assistant is a beta in iOS 27.2 and the corresponding 27.2 releases for iPad, Mac, Watch and Vision. Access requires an Apple Intelligence-enabled device set to a supported language. Apple also excludes users under 13.
A software installation can therefore finish successfully while an owner remains outside the assistant’s requirements. The useful checks are the hardware, operating-system version, selected language and applicable region. None of those entries cancels the others.
The Creator Studio requirements make a related point about Apple’s announcements: compatibility across a product family does not give every feature identical availability on iPhone and Mac.
What to expect once eligible
Apple describes personal-context requests involving messages, emails and photos, actions across apps and responses to what appears onscreen. Those are the capabilities the company is expanding to more languages. This announcement does not provide independent performance comparisons between languages.
It also warns of daily limits for server-based features, including Siri AI. The allowance can depend on the feature, request complexity and demand, among other factors. Apple gives no fixed daily request count here.
Expanded access will carry a fee in the future, the company says, but this release names neither a price nor a start date. For now, the concrete change is the five-language expansion. Turkish support, broader regional access and future paid allowances each have their own unresolved timing.
