Apple Arcade October Games Arrive With Pusheen’s Place

Apple Arcade October games have arrived, led by Pusheen’s Place and four other additions scheduled for October 1. The lineup spans cozy collecting, brawling, sandbox adventures, bike tricks and word puzzles. For iPhone players, it offers several distinct ways to use an Arcade subscription rather than one headline release.

Apple Arcade October games cover five styles

Apple’s September announcement set out this month’s five-game launch. Pusheen’s Place, developed by Lively, centers on collecting cats, decorating rooms and playing short minigames. River City Survivors takes the action route, with more than 20 characters and two companions to support your fights.

Terraria+ brings its 1.4.5 content, including Dead Cells and Palworld crossovers, and supports adventures with up to seven friends. Meanwhile, Touchgrind BMX 2+ targets trick-based riding. 4 Pics 1 Word+ rounds out the selection with visual word puzzles. As with Arcade games generally, these releases avoid advertisements and in-app purchases.

Pusheen’s appeal is the collection loop

The official App Store listing describes more than 100 cats and over 200 decorations. You can customize themes and build a space around the characters you collect. That makes it a different proposition from the multiplayer action elsewhere in the lineup.

The listing also specifies iOS 16 or later and shows controller support. Check the current download size before installing, especially if your phone is close to full. A game’s minimum iOS version is more useful here than assuming every Arcade title needs the newest iPhone.

Find the releases and check your subscription

On iPhone, open the App Store and choose its Arcade tab. You can also browse through Apple’s Games app. The Arcade service page explains supported devices, family sharing and trial terms; check the offer shown for your own account and country.

In the United States, the standalone monthly subscription costs $6.99. Family Sharing allows you to share access with up to five other people. Eligible buyers of a new Apple device may receive a three-month trial, subject to the offer’s conditions.

If you bought a phone during the iPhone 18 retail rollout, check your trial eligibility before starting a paid subscription. Also review the renewal date when redeeming an offer, so the ongoing cost is clear.

Pick a game for the time you have

For a short break, the puzzle and decorating options are sensible starting points. For a longer session, compare Terraria’s shared adventures with River City’s combat. Before organizing a group, check each game’s device and multiplayer requirements. Apple Arcade October games share a subscription, but their play styles and session demands differ.
